Notes: Kyuss screams from atop a pile of pipes in his junk yard.

This pic was supposed to be so many things. It was originally supposed to be Kyuss and Jester fighting, but I couldn't get Jester to look how I wanted. So I omitted him, I thought Kyuss was good enough to hold up on his own.
Then I decided I wanted a sunset background, which I began, but it meant Kyuss would have to be in silhouette form, and I didn't want to obscure the line work in that way. I tried all kinds of effects and styles to keep my sunset background without having to colour kyuss black but nothing worked.
Walking back from college in the rain gave me the idea of having the sky grey and some light rain. It would keep the intensity I wanted but allow me to colour Kyuss more brightly. So I set to work with all intentions of adding some amazing looking rain afterwards. But yet again, that fell through as I couldn't find a rain effect or technique which didn't just wash out the pic and look......tacky. So the rain went as well.

People have told me it works as it is, and gives a 'calm before the storm' look, which is perfect.
This is Kyuss in his possessed form, hence the glowing eyes. In this form, Kyuss can touch other rats but no one else can touch him. He doesn't cast a shadow or leave footprints. Had there been rain, it would have passed through him and made no effect on his fur, so its just as well it was left out I guess. Saved me a lot of people telling me I'd not drawn the rain correctly.
