Notes: Some explanation is probably needed.

Currently, Im obsessed with the Jersey devil. I've read everything I can find on it and its my favourtie cryptozoological beastie.
But Im simultaneously terrified of it. It freaks me the fuck out. I don't care if people think it doesn't exist or whatever, I DO. Im more inclined to believe its actually some undiscovered species of animal rather than a supernatural thing, but the fact is I believe it is out there. And it scares me, even though I live NO-WHERE near new Jersey. Just the image of it sends chills down my spine.

Roach came over the other night and we smoked, drank and tripped. I told her about the jersey devil, showed her the websites I'd seen, read her some of the encounters, and after an hour or so, she was as freaked out by it as I was (in fact, probably more so since I'd had a few days to collect my thoughts on it). Suddenly, every single noise outside the window was the jersey devil, every electronic glitch or weird occurance was the jersey devil.
We're out of milk. Shit, its the jersey devil.

Sometime after midnight, I was sitting with my back to the window, feeling quite merrily intoxicated, and theres this noise like a harsh, rapid tap on the glass of the window. I freeze, as is my habit when Im scared, and roach is all like 'ITS THE DEVIL!!!!!!' For one moment, it was truely rather terrifying.
Then I realised it was my cat, on the windowsill behind the curtain, scratching his ear and his foot banging against the glass.

I really love ZigZag and Rizrah as characters, just because they look so absurd in everyday situations. Making a hoofed animal hold a joint or sit on a beanbag or hold a cup of tea just makes me laugh. Roach often draws Rizrah holding something with his hoof and its just IMPOSSIBLE. It makes me laugh.
